At midnight the horsemen and patrols march down the streets of the French Quarter to bring an end to the celebration of Mardis Gras!!!! What an experience? I did get to experience the parade of M.G. on St. Charles St. (family atmosphere style).
These last couple of days were not about the parties, hollering and of course the notorious beads but it was to serve and love my neighbors. Yes, I know I have neighbors back home, but there's so much more. Serving away from home will open the eyes of the things inside their community. The student will then, if their heart desires them too, to serve back home. Also serving on a short term mission trip just like N.O. will put things into motion for them.
My experience so far as been a blessing. I have a better understanding about the what, why, and effect of Katrina now. I want to share with others the impact it had on N.O. and how it will impact those who come to take a piece of N.O. back home.
Thanks for your prayers and thoughts. We will return on Sat.

Reign in me
Rain seems to bring the blues out in most people. I even sometimes am drawn back to stay at home and sit in my black chair, dozing off to the sound of rain pouring down on the rooftop. Every once in a while I think about the great flood and the sign God sent to Noah. I like to think of the rainbow after the storm. Rob Bell said, it's not if it rains, but when. When it rains, God will always be there in the calm after the storm. He is there to push us forward. When God rains down a flood, He reigns down a flood of grace, mercy, and love! Lord I ask that you reign in me, use me to be that vessel and tool. Forgive me of my faults, and lead me not into temptation but deliver me from evil!
May God bless you this day. If it's raining, know He will be there to help you seek shelter and find strength in Him. If you are experiencing a rainbow, praise Him!! Lead me to the cross!
I better wait and not give my whole lesson before I actually give it next Wednesday. Have a blessed day!

Simple Math Doesn't Add Up
I wonder how many scientist in a day try to figure out who this Jesus was? I mean think about it, they try so hard proofing Him wrong or that is existence was nothing phenomenal. They can't wrap their minds around a creator, deliverer or savior. I've known Christ for about 12 years and I can't explain some of these miracles or things He did. Why should I try to proof them wrong or yet try to find proof that what was said was true? It's a waste of time and is overlooked.
Jesus made it so that we put our trust in Him and have an acting faith. He takes whatever we have, any doubts, any good and multiplies them for His glory for our good. God will empower us to do His good works if we hand it over to Him. With Jesus, He takes one and makes many, just like the fish feeding the five thousand. Give what ever you have to Jesus. You may like to write songs, record it and give it to Jesus. Jesus is able to take whatever you have and put it in the right hands.
Jesus is a multiplier beyond the addition of your skills!

My Circus Act - Juggling
People are always asking me what's going on in my world and my response sometimes is...'what one?' I love to be busy and using different talents God has given me. Some of those are not really talents, just me pretending to know what I'm doing.
My blog is going to consist of updates from my college life, college work, family, ministry with CCH, radio gig, personal interest and much more. I hope you enjoy the stories I will share and hope you share this blog with your fellow mates. I appreciate your time in reading!!
